What information you can find from a VIN check
A VIN check provides a clear overview of a vehicle’s identity and history, using data from public and commercial sources available for Romania and Europe. Depending on availability, the report may include:
- Identification details: make, model, variant, year of manufacture, body type.
- Technical specifications: engine, displacement, power, fuel type, drivetrain.
- Mileage records: reported readings over time to identify possible inconsistencies.
- Damage and accidents: reported events that may affect the vehicle’s value or safety.
- Registration status: current status, first registration date, vehicle category.
- RAR information: data from automotive registries, where available.
- International history: records from other EU countries if the vehicle was imported.
Not all information is available for every VIN, but checking the chassis number is the fastest way to identify hidden risks before purchase.
