VinCheck.ro (“we”) is operated by Awtistik Labs, a company registered in Romania. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when you visit vincheck.ro or use our VIN-check and vehicle-history services. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

a. Information you provide

VIN numbers that you enter for a check. A VIN is a vehicle identifier and, on its own, is not personal data.
Contact details (name, email) when you write to us through the contact form, by email or when you post a review.
User-generated content, such as the reviews you choose to publish on the site.

b. Information collected automatically

Usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited and the duration of the visit.
Cookies and similar technologies for the basic operation of the site and for anonymous analytics. You can manage your preferences in your browser.

2. How we use data

To deliver VIN decoding results and vehicle-history reports.
To respond to your support requests and communicate with you.
To maintain, secure and improve the site (analytics, troubleshooting).
To meet our legal obligations.

3. Sharing of data

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with:

Service providers that host and operate the site (for example hosting and analytics), bound by contract to protect the data.
Data sources that we query to build a VIN report — they receive only the VIN you entered.

The results of a VIN check may be retained so they can be returned quickly to other users searching for the same VIN; they contain no personal data of the buyer. Messages from the contact form are kept while we resolve the request and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can request deletion at any time.

We use HTTPS, encrypted connections and access controls to protect data. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
ask for inaccurate data to be corrected;
request erasure (the “right to be forgotten”);
