These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to the website vincheck.ro and your use of all the features it offers (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Awtistik Labs, registered in Romania. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. The Service

VinCheck.ro provides free decoding of vehicle identification numbers (VIN) and aggregates available data into vehicle-history reports. The information comes from official sources (for example RAR, DRPCIV, CNAIR road tax), aggregated market sources and user-submitted reviews. Each fact is presented together with its provenance.

2. No warranty as to data accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to provide correct and up-to-date information, but the Service is provided “as is”. VIN decoding and history reports rely on third-party data sources that may be incomplete, delayed or contain errors.

Do not use VinCheck.ro as the sole basis for buying or selling a vehicle. Always check in person, request a physical inspection and obtain the official documentation (for example RAR check, periodic technical inspection, registration certificate) before any transaction.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

extract data from the Service in bulk (scraping, crawling).
use the Service to harass, defame or infringe the rights of a vehicle owner or any third party.
attempt to bypass usage limits, security measures or authentication.
reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
resell or redistribute reports, data or features without our written permission.
submit false, misleading or illegal content (including fake reviews).

4. User-generated content

When you submit a review or other content, you grant VinCheck.ro a worldwide, non-exclusive and royalty-free license to host, display, translate and distribute that content within the Service. You confirm that the content is yours and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

We may moderate, edit or remove, without prior notice, content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

All trademarks, logos, page structure, source code and aggregated data in the Service are the property of Awtistik Labs or its licensors. Vehicle brand names (BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Renault, Dacia, etc.) are mentioned only to identify vehicles. VinCheck.ro is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any car manufacturer.

6. Free service

The basic VIN check is free. The Service may include optional integrations with partners. These do not affect the technical accuracy of the VIN data we display and do not alter the data based on any commercial collaborations.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Awtistik Labs and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages, including loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from:

the use of, or inability to use, the Service;
reliance on the information returned by the Service;
unauthorized access to your transmissions or their alteration;
the statements or conduct of any third party within the Service.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VinCheck.ro and Awtistik Labs from any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or from improper use of the Service.

9. Privacy

Use of the Service is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason — including a suspected breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature survive termination (for example intellectual property, liability, indemnification) remain in force.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after the changes are published constitutes acceptance of them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
